Club had a really nice day.  Members lined up to show what that had done to their Miatas.  Joel turbocharged his engine.  Very impressive
Tom put new air intake, header on exhaust, adjustable shocks and lowered the driver's seat.
Some people stopped by to check us out.  They had two Miatas.

Tech Session
By Joel Starr

We are changing things up a bit this year.  Smail Mazda (yes we are doing Smail again, it's a long story) has agreed to clear part of their parking lot so WPMC Members can display their cars and chat about what makes their car interesting and/or any modifications they have made.  So, if you have a car you are proud of (I'm assuming that is all of us) and you would like to present it to the rest of the club, now is your chance.  We will line up our cars, pop the hoods and do a walk around each car as the owner discusses it with the other attendees.  If you don't want to present your car and would just like to attend and learn about other cars, that is fine as well.

Date & Time:    Saturday April 18, 10:00 am
Location:   Smail Mazda
                       5094 Us-30
                      Greensburg, PA 15601

Lunch:      Longhorn Steakhouse
         5296 US-30,
          Greensburg, PA 15601

Please email me at: jgtexstarr@gmail.com
Let me know if plan to attend and if you would like to present your car or not

Washington Trail Cruise
By Joel Starr

This is a Historical, scenic and curvy cruise.  We will be following George Washington's 1753 journey from the site of the Indian village of Loggstown (Ambridge, PA) to Fort LeBeouf in what is now Waterford PA.  In Waterford we will visit the Fort LeBeouf Historical Museum followed by lunch and ice-cream.  Washington's journal is rather vague about the actual route they followed but is guide, Christopher Gist, made journal entries most evenings when the stopped.  Between Washington's and Gist's journals and the map Washington published, historians were able to reconstruct his route.  The history and controversy surrounding the Washington trail is too involved to review the day of the cruise so I will be hosting a web meeting Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 pm to discuss the details.

Date & Time:    Saturday May 2, meet at 9:00 am we will leave promptly at 9:30 am

Location:    Sheetz
        100 Ohio River Blvd
Baden, PA 15005

Lunch:        Waterford Hotel
        213 High St,
Waterford, PA 16441

Ice Cream:    The Scoop
        13124 US-19
Waterford, PA 16441

Let me know if you plan to attend the cruise and/or you would like a Zoom link to access the web talk

Currently using a DieHard Silver U1RT size battery.  Only 1 year old so can't really comment on durability just yet.  It does fit perfectly and has the vents.

Tech Talk / Diagnostic for battery drain o...
Last post by kgmccafferty - April 15, 2023, 03:18:34 PM
Looking for recommendation for how to diagnose potential electric issue with my 1993 Miata.   I must use a battery tender, and it must be on, to start my car.   Whether it sits for a few days or weeks.  Tests of the battery by AAA and local garage say my battery is good, my alternator is good.    But I can't be sure my car will start if I don't plug in the tender; which is not convenient if I want to take a cruise or overnight trip.    I have been told it could be a problem with the ground wire but I do not know how to check this nor have the tools to investigate.   Any one out there with similar issue or a recommendation on a person or garage that may be able to help figure this out?   Thank you.
