WPMC PVGP RALLYE -SAT JULY 25TH

  WPMC PVGP RALLYE
                                                 BY
                                    JOE & LINDA ZIMLIKI

Last year three cars from our club participated in PVGP Rallye.  Joe & I decided to run it for the club this year.  This Rallye had a lot of Miata roads so we thought members would enjoy it.  It will not be timed.  There will be a list of things to answer and find.  You will need a navigator.  For single members if you donít have someone to ride with you let me know and I can match you up with another single member.  You will be on your own and not following a group of cars although that could end up happening.
The one who gets the most answers correct wins.  There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place prizes.

ATTENTION: Since last monthís newsletter we have made some changes to Rallye.  We have added some Joe & Linda Miata roads which you will love.  The roads were Miata roads already but these are even better.
MASKS WILL BE WORN AT RALLYE INSTRUCTION
CARS WILL BE SENT OF INDIVIDUALLY
AFTER THE RALLYE, LUNCH AT RED ROBIN WILL BE  OUTDOOR DINING.

PVGP has asked car clubs that normally participate in PVGP to hold a driving event to raise money for their charities since it had to be cancelled.  Since we were planning to have the Rallye anyway I thought if participates want to they can donate what ever they want.  There will be no set amount
to donate if you chose.  There has been one event so far.  The Corvette Club had a Caravan Challenger and raised $150.50.  So WPMC can we take the challenge and beat the Corvette donation?

The charities that PVGP support are Autism Society and Merakey Allegheny Valley School.  Autism is self explanatory.  The Merakey Allegheny Valley School is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to individuals with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors. Merakey AVS operates facilities in nine Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Bucks, Butler, Dauphin, Lebanon, Mercer, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. An individualized plan of care is developed for each person with the goal of achieving his/her highest level of independence, while enhancing quality of life. Services range from physical, occupational and communication therapies to vocational training and employment support. Therapeutic activities and developmental training focus on sensory, environmental and pre-vocational skill development.

So letís have a big turnout for this fun event and accept Corvetteís Challenge to raise money for charity.
